Do the research, choose the methods/tools that fit your budget and circumstances, and stick with it. No advertising, at any level, works well without continuous exposure. The Super Bowl ads, priced at $2 million for a 30 second ad, are shown consistently throughout the rest of the year.
• Choose Your Partners Wisely. Anybody who has been in the industry for any length of time will tell you that there is an 80/20 Rule - 80% of the volume will come from 20% of your team. Our experience indicates that a 90/10 Rule is more accurate. Either way, you need to be very selective about who you invest your time in, since there are quite a few people who “talk a good game.” We recommend using an Interview Process, with homework assignments, to separate the “talkers” from the “doers.
• Focus On Duplication. Many people in this industry will tell you the secret to success is duplicating your efforts. That’s not always correct … you really need duplicate your results. Duplicating your efforts doesn’t guarantee results. You should evaluate everything you do (advertising, phone calls, presentations, interview techniques, etc.) and decide whether your team members can easily duplicate it. If not, back to the drawing board.

The witching hour is upon us. Those who live in the United States are getting ready to celebrate Halloween. On this holiday, people dress up as other people (or things) and go out to cavort with friends.

As people in the U.S. focus on this silly holiday, the big question that people ask each other is, “What are you going to be for Halloween?” For many of you, the same question applies to your business. When was the last time you gave some thought to “What you are going to be?”

Many of us get so caught up in our hectic lives that we rarely take the time to ponder our future. One of our favorite sayings goes something like this, “If you want your life to be different 5 years from now, you have to do something different today!” Wouldn’t this be a good time to decide what you want to be in the future; what you would like out of life?

Once you decide on a vision of your future (which is the easy part), you must then develop a plan of action (or road map) to get you there. This will require commitment and dedication on your part, but it will be well worth the sacrifice. Only a select few people achieve the lifestyle they desire … but that’s because only a select few are willing to do what it takes.

For too many people, “Life is what happens while you’re making plans!” Life is short and can quickly pass you by, if you don’t take action. So stop analyzing and rationalizing, decide on your goals, choose an action plan, and take action.

I have seen it happen so many times over the years. I have seen many, many brazen, over confident, braggarts build large network marketing organizations. I look at these folks and ask myself how they did it. They don’t seem all that capable and proficient, yet they do attract some leadership.

The answer is … they projected an air of confidence and self-assuredness, even if it may be abrasive to some and obnoxious to others. What does this example teach us? It teaches us several things:

• You don’t have to be an expert to look and act like one. (All these Internet eBook sites prove it.)

• Strong, confident personalities attract strong individuals.

• Those who take charge of the conversation control the process.

• It’s not always about what you say; many times it’s more important how you say it.

When was the last time you really gave serious thought to the language you use? It is something that you really have to focus on; like anything worthwhile, implementing a success vocabulary will likely take some time & effort to bring about positive changes. To this day, we constantly analyze our conversations in order to retrain our brain.

I’m not going to go into every example here today. That’s an exercise for you to do at home as part of the analysis and learning process. I am going to a give you few examples that will assist you in getting the ball rolling.

Weak Word or Phrase #1: Maybe

Example: “Maybe you could share with us a little bit more about what you’re doing on the Internet?”

A better choice: Definitely

Example: “We would definitely like to learn a little more about you’re background and experience.

What is the first thing you think of when someone tells you “maybe”? Maybe is a very indecisive word used to avoid making a decision. Leaders make decisions.

Definite is a word of power, of authority, of decisiveness … a word that conjures up positive action. Definite is a “without a doubt” yes! There is no room for misinterpretation of what you think or mean when you use the word “definite.”

Do you want to follow someone who is not definite about what they want to achieve?

Weak Word or Phrase #2: Never

Example: “I’m never going to get this stuff!”

A better choice: Soon

Example: “I’m going to stay focused and will master all of this very soon!”

Never is a word of no future, no hope. It brings thoughts of inevitability and a lack of power or control to influence the outcome. The word never is used by people who watch things happen or let things happen.

When you hear soon, you think about excitement and eagerness for coming events. When you use the word soon, the person on the other end of the phone will be thinking that you can make things happen.

Do you want to align yourself with someone who lets things happen or someone who makes things happen?

Weak Word or Phrase #3: Problem

Example: I’m having this major problem getting my domain forwarding to work. I need your help!!!

A better choice: Challenge

Example: I’m having a small challenge with my domain forwarding. When can we schedule a time to work on it?

Every thing we encounter in life challenges us to rise above. The winners in life focus on solutions, whiners focus on the issue.

Weak Word or Phrase #4: Try

Example: “I’ll try to get to that this afternoon.”

A better choice: Will

Example: “I’ll have that completed and off to you this afternoon.”

Try is a very weak and non-committal word. When I hear someone use the word try, I’m thinking that they are going to give it a half-hearted attempt or go through the motions, but there is no guarantee that they are going to accomplish the task.

The word will is a very positive commitment to get things done. Try is a word of accomplishment and success.

Do you want to do business with someone who tries or someone who succeeds?

Weak Word or Phrase #5: I wish

Example: I wish I could sponsor somebody already!

A better choice: I am

Example: I am committed to doing what it takes to sponsor new members on my team!

I wish is a word that connotes lack of belief and lack of commitment. Again, it leaves you with a feeling of being powerless to impact the outcome or result; hence you have to wish for a result.

The phrase ‘I am’ leaves little room for doubt about your mindset, belief level and commitment. ‘I am’ is a phrase of empowerment and confidence.

Do you want to join us business with people who wish for success, or with people who are committed to success?

That’s enough to get you started, to set the wheels in motion. The question for each of is, “What image are we projecting to the people we interact with. Are we a confident, empowered leader or a follower plagued by uncertainty and low self-confidence? You’re words tell the story!

I had always know and tell people the the economy is not looking good and it won’t be for months to come before I blog about reading a news By JEANNINE AVERSA on job loss and now once again news rose. Employers cut payrolls by 62,000 in June, the sixth straight month of nationwide job losses, underscoring the economy’s fragile state. The unemployment rate held steady at 5.5 percent.

The latest snapshot of business conditions, released by the Labour Department on Thursday, showed continued caution on the part of employers who are chafing under high energy prices and are uncertain about how long the economy will be stuck in a sluggish mode, reflecting fallout from housing, credit and financial troubles.

Heavy job losses in construction, manufacturing and financial services, along with cutbacks in retailing, eclipsed job gains in education and health services, leisure and hospitality, and government.

The report, however weak, was largely on target with economists’ forecasts. They had been expecting employers to reduce payrolls by around 60,000 jobs in June and for the unemployment rate to slip a notch to 5.4 percent.

The jobless rate spiked to 5.5 percent in May. That marked the biggest over-the-month increase in two decades and left the rate at its highest since October 2004.

Job losses in both April and May turned out to be considerably deeper than had been thought. Payrolls dropped by 67,000 in April, versus the 28,000 previously reported. And, losses in May came to 62,000, rather than the 49,000 initially estimated.

So far this year, the economy has lost a total of 438,00 jobs, an average of 73,000 a month.

The economy is the top concern of voters and will figure prominently in their choice for president and other elected officials come November. The faltering labor market is a source of anxiety not only for those looking for work but also for those worried about keeping their jobs during uncertain times. It also could spell more trouble for an already shaky economy if people and businesses were to hunker down further.

When it comes to handling the economy, 32 percent picked Democratic contender Barack Obama, while 28 percent went with GOP rival John McCain, according to a recent AP-Yahoo News poll.

Private analysts predict the economy will continue to shed jobs in the months ahead, pushing the unemployment rate higher.

“The economy is at risk of a hard landing,” said Brian Bethune, economist at Global Insight.

The number of unemployed people in June was 8.5 million, up from 7 million a year ago.

In a separate report from the department, the number of newly laid off people signing up for unemployment insurance rose sharply last week. New applications jumped by 16,000 to 404,000, the highest level since late March. The increase was bigger than economists were expecting; they were forecasting claims to rise to around 385,000.

With inflation concerns growing, the Federal Reserve last week ended an aggressive rate-cutting campaign, started last September to shore up economic growth.

Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke and his colleagues are caught between risky crosscurrents of plodding economic growth and spiraling energy and food prices that threaten to spread inflation. Lowering rates further would worsen inflation. But boosting rates too soon to fend off inflation could hurt the fragile economy.

Oil prices on Thursday neared $146 a barrel for the first time, while gasoline prices hovered above $4 a gallon.

On the other side of the Atlantic, the European Central Bank raised its key interest rate Thursday by a quarter percentage point to 4.25 percent in an effort to rein in escalating inflation.

Workers saw modest wage gains in June.

Average hourly earnings rose to $18.01 in June, a 0.3 percent rise from May. That matched economists’ forecasts. Over the past year, wages have grown 3.4 percent, the smallest annual increase since January 2006. Paychecks, though, aren’t stretching as far because of high food and energy prices.

In its latest economic assessment last week, the Fed observed that “labor markets have softened further.”

However, the Fed believed that its powerful series of rate reductions along with the government’s $168 billion stimulus package, including tax rebates, will help lift economic growth over time.

Some economists fear that when the bracing force of the rebates fades, the economy could be in for another rough patch. Those analysts worry that the economy — which has been coping with sluggish growth at best — will have a “relapse” and lose momentum near the end of this year.

There’s been a lot of talk about whether the economy is on the brink of, or has fallen into, its first recession since 2001. The official determination, made by a panel of academics, usually comes well after the fact.

Economists expect the unemployment rate to hit 6 percent or higher early next year, even if the economy were to show better growth. Companies will be reluctant to ramp up hiring until they feel certain the economy will stay on firmer footing.
